Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to the most common questions about Power IMS, our modules, and services.
Power IMS is Power Manufaktur's modular platform for quality management and integrated management. The modules are native Microsoft Teams apps: you install them in your own Microsoft 365 tenant and the data stays in your SharePoint. The only exception is the legacy variant Power QMS for the Power Platform.
You can get started quickly: 1) We install the Teams app for the module you want in your Microsoft 365 tenant and connect it to your SharePoint. 2) Run the guided setup inside the app and optionally load demo data. 3) Configure, run a pilot and go live – for the go-live we typically plan 2–3 months. The only exception: Power QMS for Power Platform is set up together with us in your Power Platform environment.
Available today: Power QMS for Teams (quality management), Power Audit (audit management), Power Maintenance (maintenance), Power CI (continuous improvement), Power Safety (occupational safety), Power Risk (risk management) Power Knowledge (knowledge management) and Power Energy (energy management). Power Hub is the free cockpit and is included when you buy at least one module. In addition there is Power QMS for the Power Platform as a legacy variant plus the add-on apps Power Contract and Power Invoice.
Power IMS is designed for SMEs and large enterprises that want to build an integrated management system on top of their existing Microsoft 365 environment. The platform is particularly well established in industries such as industry & engineering, food, energy, and the public sector – wherever quality, audit, risk, and safety processes must be reliably documented.
All Power IMS modules are available out-of-the-box in German, French, Italian, and English. Content such as documents, processes, master data, or audit questions can additionally be translated into further languages using the built-in AI translation inside the apps – ideal for internationally operating organisations.
Classic QMS/IMS solutions (e.g. ConSense, Roxtra, IMS Premium, BIC) are standalone specialist applications with separate user management, separate logins, and their own data silo. Power IMS takes a different approach: the modules are fully embedded in your existing Microsoft 365 environment and use Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online as their foundation – the modules are installed as Teams apps. This results in concrete benefits: no additional logins, familiar Microsoft interface (lower training effort), data stays within your own tenant, native integration with Outlook, Teams, and Office, and tier-based licensing (purchase or annual licence) instead of ongoing per-user subscriptions.
Every module can be purchased or rented – both tiered by number of users. Purchase: from CHF 4,900 one-time (Power QMS Classic) or from CHF 6,599 for the other modules, Power QMS for Teams from CHF 9,900. Rental: roughly one third of the purchase price per year, from CHF 2,200. Installation & setup are included, and Power Hub comes free with at least one purchased Teams-based module. Maintenance & Basic Support are mandatory for purchase and rental and charged separately at 15% of the respective module price per year. Optional AI support can be added – this costs 10% of the relevant module price per year. All prices excl. VAT. Everything can be calculated transparently in the pricing calculator.
We license the total number of all M365 users with an E, F or Business licence in your tenant. This is typically all employees who use a Microsoft 365 mailbox or equivalent business licence.
Yes. Every module has a browser-based live demo on this website, and the Teams apps can be installed directly in your own tenant. If you prefer a guided walkthrough, book a meeting – we will show you the modules relevant to you.
Yes. For all Teams modules you can set up a 30-day trial in your own Microsoft 365 tenant via our setup center at setup.power-ims.com – including installation, connection to your SharePoint and sample data. Administrator rights are required. If you prefer a guided setup, book a meeting with us. In addition, a browser-based live demo is available for every module on this website. For Power QMS for Power Platform we set up a test installation on request or grant access to our demo system.

No. Installation, basic configuration, and initial setup in the customer's Microsoft 365 tenant are included in the licence fee. Additional costs only arise if individual customisations, third-party integrations, or extensive training are required – these are quoted transparently upfront.
Yes. With several modules, automatic bundle discounts apply: 10% for two, 20% for three and 30% for four and 40% from five modules – for both purchase and rental. Power Hub is included free of charge from one Teams-based module onwards. You can see the discounts directly in the pricing calculator.
Power IMS licenses are tiered by number of users (e.g. up to 25, up to 50, up to 100, up to 250 users, etc.). If your company grows beyond the current tier, you simply upgrade to the next tier – only the difference to the original license fee is charged. There are no penalty fees, no renegotiations, and no contract changes. We are happy to provide a transparent upgrade quote at any time.
Yes. We offer discounted terms for educational institutions (schools, universities, vocational training centres), charitable associations, and recognised non-profit organisations. Please contact us with a short proof of your organisation – we will then prepare an individual offer for you.
For online purchases in the pricing calculator we offer credit card, PayPal and Apple Pay via Paddle. For quotes and invoice purchases, billing is done by invoice with the agreed payment terms (typically net 30 days). Invoices can be issued in CHF or EUR.
For the Teams modules, each user simply needs a suitable Microsoft 365 plan – Business Standard or Business Premium (for SMEs) or Microsoft 365 E1, E3, or E5 (for enterprise customers). These plans include SharePoint Online and Teams and are fully sufficient; no additional Power Platform licences are required for the Teams apps. Installing the app in your tenant requires the one-time permission to install custom Teams apps. Only Power QMS for Power Platform additionally requires one Power Apps Premium and one Power Automate Premium licence for technical operation. Your data stays in your own Microsoft 365 tenant – on-premise deployment is technically not possible.
Your data is stored exclusively in your own Microsoft 365 tenant – meaning it always resides in the same location you have chosen for your tenant (e.g. Switzerland, EU, or another Microsoft region). Power Manufaktur does not operate any of its own servers and does not store customer data outside of your tenant. The same privacy, compliance, and security standards that apply to the rest of your Microsoft 365 environment automatically apply here as well.
Yes. Because the Teams apps store their data in SharePoint Online inside your own tenant, you have access to all integration capabilities of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem – which means virtually unlimited integration scenarios. Optionally you can add your own Power Automate flows; through the several hundred standard and premium connectors of Power Automate (e.g. SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, SQL, REST/HTTP, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and many more) as well as open interfaces, practically any third-party system can be connected. Within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Teams, Planner, Power BI) the integration is native and available out-of-the-box. For specific integration scenarios, we are happy to support you with consulting and implementation.
Selected modules offer optional AI support – such as AI-assisted interview guides and mapping of meeting notes in Power Audit, or translation of documents and master data. AI support is added per module, costs 10% of the relevant module price per year and includes 500 AI actions per user and year (pooled company-wide). Processing runs through our secure gateway infrastructure using Google Gemini or Azure OpenAI. Details can be found on the AI Support page.
Yes. Power IMS runs entirely within your own Microsoft 365 tenant in the Microsoft Cloud. The same privacy and security standards apply as for your other Microsoft 365 data – including GDPR compliance and alignment with the revised Swiss Data Protection Act (revDPA). On request, we support you in preparing the record of processing activities and a data protection impact assessment.
No. Your data always remains in your own Microsoft 365 tenant. By default, Power Manufaktur has no access to your content. For support or maintenance work, access is granted only after your explicit approval, on a time-limited basis, and is fully logged.
No. The Power IMS Teams apps do not transfer content data to third-party providers. Your data stays wherever your Microsoft 365 tenant is hosted – typically in Swiss or EU data centres for Swiss and EU customers. AI features also operate within the Microsoft Cloud. The list of sub-processors is available in the Legal & Compliance area.
Yes. All relevant actions – creation, changes, approvals, read confirmations, and status transitions – are logged in a complete and traceable manner. This makes Power IMS particularly well suited for industries with elevated documentation requirements such as food, industry, or the public sector. Formal validation is always carried out on a customer-specific basis in the actual deployment context.
We offer personal email and phone support directly from Switzerland. The paid Basic Support (15% of license fee per year) provides patches, technical support and 8h response time. Extended Support with a 10h maintenance contingent for regular updates and adjustments is also available.
Yes. We provide documentation and video tutorials for all users. On request, we run individual live onboarding sessions and tailored training for your teams.
There is no vendor lock-in: all Power IMS modules run entirely in your own Microsoft 365 tenant and remain fully usable even after the partnership ends. Your data, documents, and configurations stay in your Microsoft Cloud. Only future updates, new features, and the paid maintenance & support contract from Power Manufaktur will no longer be provided.
Yes. Power IMS is deployed in dedicated SharePoint sites within your existing Microsoft 365 tenant and runs fully isolated from your other applications, Teams sites, and content. No separate tenants, migrations, or changes to your existing M365 environment are required. Permissions are managed granularly via Microsoft Entra ID, so only authorised users can access Power IMS content.
